Selama tiga tahun yang lepas, para peserta #WomensMarchMY telah menerima pelbagai bentuk  serangan, dari dalam talian, luar talian, keluarga, kawan rapat, atau di tempat kerja. Tahun ini Jawatankuasa #WomensMarchMY memutuskan untuk membentuk Meja Bantuan bagi para peserta Perarakan Wanita yang menghadapi serangan-serangan tersebut dan perlukan sokongan dari segi psikososial/kesejahteraan, perundangan, fizikal, atau digital. Anggota Meja Bantuan ini terdiri dari individu-individu yang ada pengalaman bekerja dalam keselamatan peribadi, gangguan berdasarkan gender, dan isu-isu keganasan. Meja Bantuan ini akan beroperasi dari 8hb Mac 2020 hingga 31hb Mac 2020. Sekiranya anda menghadapi apa-apa serangan sila berhubung dengan Meja Bantuan.

Kita akan cuba sebaik mungkin untuk menjawab dalam masa 24 jam!

Contoh bentuk serangan yang diterima oleh para peserta dari perarakan yang lepas

  • Orang mencurigakan mengambil foto anda tanpa kebenaran anda
  • Foto anda dikongsi dalam talian tanpa kebenaran anda
  • Menerima ancaman secara langsung atau tidak dalam talian (termasuk gangguan, mengutuk bentuk badan, etc)
  • Diancam akan dilaporkan ke pihak atasan seperti sekolah, majikan, polis, pihak penguatkuasa agama etc.
  • Maklumat peribadi anda didedahkan (doxxing)

For the past three years, participants of #WomensMarchMY have received different forms of attacks, be it online, offline, within family, close friends, or even at workplace. This year the #WomensMarchMY Committee decided to create a Support Desk for participants of the Women’s March who faced such attack and in need of digital, physical, legal or psychosocial/wellbeing support. The Support Desk Team comprises of individuals who have experiences working on personal safety and gender-based harassment and violence issues. This Support Desk will operate from 8th March 2020 till 31st March 2020. Should you face any attack please get in touch with the Support Desk.

You may also fill in a form to inform us of your case. You will hear from us within 24 hours of your request. This simple form will take less than 10 minutes of your time. This is to facilitate our efforts in supporting your needs and request.

Next, we will arrange for a method to communicate with you securely and privately. We will do our best to provide the support you need, which include referring you to another organisation to provide the requested services.

Examples of attacks received by participants from previous marches

Harassment can come in many forms, mainly:

  • Suspicious people taking your picture without consent
  • People sharing your photo online without consent
  • Receive direct or indirect threats online (which includes harassment, bodyshaming, etc)
  • Receive threats to be reported to a higher authority i.e. school, employer, police, religious authorities etc.
  • People are doxxing your personal information
